About Us

Our five acre farm is committed to sustainability and diversity. We specialize in artisan breads (with whole grains milled here on the farm) and in pastured poultry. We also offer a variety of seasonal heirloom produce.

Although we are not certified organic, we think of ourselves as beyond organic, implementing intensive organic growing techniques.
Our food is all natural, which means no chemicals, no hormones, no antibiotics, no herbicides/pesticides.
And all that adds up to is just plain delicious.

Our Name

The name Trosly comes from a small village in France, Trosly-Breuil.

It was in this town that Jean Vanier opened up his home and started L’Arche. L’Arche is a community where belonging is lived out in everyday life-where the young and old, disabled and displaced are welcome.
No matter who you are or what your capabilities may be.

Every child, every person needs to know that they are a source of joy; every child, every person, needs to be celebrated -Jean Vanier

Vanier has become one of our heroes and an inspiration to create a place of belonging here in the mountains of Appalachia. We want Trosly Farm to be place where everyone’s contribution matters and where each person is celebrated and refreshed.
Our mission is to provide the best tasting, most nutrient dense food for our customers and to take care of God’s creation.
